Fabric vertical blinds

As the modern world dictates, less is more. This connotes that opting for minimalism and simplicity actually emphasize and make interior spaces look bigger and neater. To illustrate this, we are going to dive into the vertical blinds installation for our Mandaluyong client.

Vertical blinds are one of the most common types of blinds. Per its name, these contain vertical panels which could be adjusted according to light intake preferences and room privacy requirements. The slats, which are usually made from vinyl, fabric, aluminum or wood, often vary in size and width. The individual panels could be narrow or wider, depending on client requirements and could be longer or shorter depending on the window space where it is needed. Other vertical blinds components include the headrail or casing, a bottom rail, and a wand or cord to adjust the slats.

Our installation is for a condominium unit in Mandaluyong. The city is strategically located near the highly urbanized business districts of Makati and Bonifacio Global City. Mandaluyong itself is also a lair to corporate headquarters and big shopping malls. These established, it is easy to infer that it is also a home to condominium units and appealing to renters or to those aiming to enjoy a city life.

Our client had the vertical blinds installed for different areas in their unit. The vertical blinds are installed as cover for their sliding door leading to the unit’s balcony. This is conducive for a number of reasons. First, effective light control. The blinds could be easily adjusted depending on the natural light needs of the room spacers. The client could simply stack the panels to one side to have access to the balcony and could have them closed during night. Either way, the installation of the vertical blinds allow access to city views while also providing privacy when needed. The vertical blinds were also installed for the narrow windows in the unit. This only proves that vertical blinds are customizable in size.

The vertical blinds purchased are neutral in color. This means it could easily complement any interior style and enhance its overall look. The client’s unit is the usual blend of white walls and storage areas and wood-like flooring. Our vertical blinds blended well with the furniture and appliances already available in the room. Since the vertical blinds are white, it looked like a natural and integrated part of the unit.

In addition to these, white or neutral colored blinds are a good option when one intends to design their area with accents of nature like wood colors or shades of green. It is also a good choice when one wants to go minimal with only simple linings and accents in the corners of their spaces. Vertical blinds could be considered a sustainable purchase because clients could change their interior while maintaining the same set of home decor. Another proof that less is definitely more.
